Marine Masters awarded
Salvage Contract in India

Marine Masters have been awarded the contract by the Mormugao Port Trust in India to refloat a chemical tanker and discharge the Naphtha cargo onboard. The tanker dragged anchor and ran aground off the coast at Goa during adverse weather conditions.

The tanker is loaded with naphtha and the engine room, pumproom and several double bottom tanks are breached. Marine Masters will involve local suppliers and contractors for preparations and execution. Marine Masters will be overseeing the refloating operation with a team of experienced salvage experts and dive teams from the Netherlands.

Preparations are estimated to take approx. 3 weeks, with the actual refloating operation taking up less than a week.
